Last year was the first time we took The Pitch on the road, visiting five major UK cities and meeting loads of fresh business talent. The competition culminated in a grand final in London in November. Finalists had to pitch to the judges in front of a live audience, judged by former TV Dragon Doug Richard, The Apprentice winner Tim Campbell and founder of Pimlico Plumbers Charlie Mullins.
The competition was agonisingly close, and the pressure intense. Wildcard finalist Jenny Twigg came incredibly close to walking off with a surprise victory, though after heated debate the judges settled on Anthony Lau, inventor of the Cyclehoop.
These are the never before seen final pitches of The Pitch 2009.
